A Business Manifesto – Why We Do What We Do

John Paul NarowskiJohn Paul Narowski

With all the noise around strategies, growth, development, funding, and about a billion other things, it’s easy to lose the motivation behind what you do. I wanted to share the philosophies I’ve come to appreciate over the course of my professional career. The business climate is changing fast, and the companies who embrace the human element are positioned to ride this progressive wave.

I believe in growing a business for the WHY.

I believe in the “Participation Age”.

I believe in empowerment.

I believe in transparency.

“Trust is the foundation of real teamwork. And so the first dysfunction is a failure on the part of team members to understand and open up to one another. And if that sounds touchy-feely, let me explain, because there is nothing soft about it. It is an absolutely critical part of building a team. In fact, it’s probably the most critical.”

— Patrick Lencioni

I believe in creating flat organizations.

I believe WEALTH is the freedom to do what you want, when you want.

“Money is only a tool. It will take you wherever you wish, but it will not replace you as the driver.”

— Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

I’ve been hacking at various business ideas since I was 16. I’m a full stack developer and love crafting user experiences. I’ve been nose deep in code since I put the legos down, and built several successful businesses in the process. I’ve lost some hair, gained some experience and throughly enjoyed the journey.
